Lazy landlord

The rent was a fair price but the landlord(s) were lazy and neglectful, they were well aware of all the problems with the property and didn’t fix them. The building was not properly insulated so there was a lot of heat loss and had electric heat and hydro was not included in the rent. The water often froze and they knew that the insulation was the problem but never fixed it. When there was an issue they would respond quickly but not actually fix anything properly, the whole building needs to completely renovated imo. And they did not remove the snow (there were 4 tenants in the building so legally they had to) and snow removal was included in my original contract and bc of this I slipped on the stairs a few times and so did my elderly dog. I tried to remove the snow but at one point it was so much that the downstairs (basement) apartment was basically completely blocked and the heat exhaust was often covered which I would deal with but wouldn’t have had to if they had a been shovelling regularly and the back parking space was not cleared like it had been the previous winters, while none of us parked there it was still used by visitors and could be used by emergency vehicles. I had asked about clearing it when I moved so could bring a truck in and they wouldn’t bc no used it. But my landlord has a local snow removal business. Now the apartment is $200 dollars more than I paid and I just hope they fixed the issues but I doubt it. Just greedy and neglectful.
