Cockroaches
Lied to when I signed the lease. Asked if there were cockroaches as unit was recently painted. Told no. Within 2 days of moving in found roaches. Rodents as well during the fall/winter. Back door didn't properly lock people and would come in through the fenced off parking area really easily. Front window was smashed from the inside. Sometimes people would sleep under the stairs when they didn't belong. Building security was extremely lax. People shoot up on the stoop but that isn't easily controlled. Landlord does get to maintenance issues but it is not great and sometimes requires repeated requests. Was told later that pests are a common issue and that there wasn't any movement in actually addressing. People tried my apartment door more than once after coming in through the back door.
