Lived at the Ranchlands apartments for three years. At the beginning of the lease, i was paying 700/month for a one bedroom apartment, which at the time, was fair. Each year the rent substantially increased hundreds of dollars, despite absolutely zero increases to the quality of living. It's a very old building with paper thin walls, so you can hear everything your neighbours are yelling/doing. They do a dreadful job of keeping the parking lot clear of snow and secure (multiple times having my block heater cord stolen in the middle of the night). Office staff, while nice when going through the rental procedure, are very rude and unbecoming aftwards. For example, while moving out in the middle of January in Grande Prairie in -30 degree weather, i accidentally locked myself out moving things back and forth outside - i asked the office to quickly let me in to grab my key and they wanted to charge me $15 dollars for it. Unacceptable. I refused and just stood outside in the freezing cold until i could tailgate someone into the building. You'll also come across a lot of broken laundry machines, and the occasional homeless person sleeping across the door in your lobby. AVOID.
