They clearly see this as their ticket to upward mobility. It's a family affair and they've deputized their 18 to 20 year old son to do all the talking and negotiating because of their ESL. He's been thrust into this role and does not emotionally ready for the responsibility. He freaks out and makes all kinds of grand statements about threatening our tenancy and refusing to sign documents when he feels cornered or threatened. They don't understand law and their contracts are gross violations of the tendency act.
