Avoid this home for your own health
This cute century home in Inglewood, Calgary was a nightmare. It was advertised with a single garage for parking, the garage door is jammed shut and the landlord refuses to fix it. The house flooded in 2013 and no remedial foundation work has been done, my partner and I were both sick from mold exposure which we realized after we moved out. The landlord lives nearby and his wife is constantly accessing the property without notice. To protect the current tenants I won’t be specific, the state of the building is falling apart and the landlord said to me, when I asked for it to be fixed for our safety, “those windows were broken before you moved in. I didn’t fix them then and I won’t now”. We fell for the charm of the house and paid for it with our health.
