Left without heat for two months

Maintenance was left un-done on heating, resulting in my unit being about sixteen degrees C from December to the end of January. The first few times I requested repairs, the landlord sent a dude to check if my windows were open; he also told me that "the previous tenants hadn't complained" about the unit being 15 degrees. Eventually they gave up; they entered my unit (without notice) and left a space heater behind. When I asked if they would be paying for my electricity (the lease says heating is their responsibility) they wordlessly took the heater away. They entered the unit basically at will, and then took a bunch out of my security deposit that they shouldn't have (I am in the process of disputing this).
